How Our Marriage Events Work:
Firstly, a reminder to everyone to be respectful to one another, following Islamic etiquette and halal interactions only.
How the Event will work:
After Participants purchase tickets a confirmation email will be sent out. It will have all the relevant information required to attend the event such as the Date, Time, Location etc.
Participants will also be sent a "Profile Update" email reminder the day before the event. This email is a reminder to fill in your Profile sections "About Me" and "About My Match" prior to the Event if you haven't already done so. This section is not compulsory however doing so may significantly improve your matching and event experience.
On the day of the Event please arrive 15 minutes before the start time at the venue in order to register, freshen up, grab a tea, coffee or drink, pray salaah and be ready. The Event will need to go ahead at it's exact start time. We do not offer refunds in general and anyone late will strictly not be refunded.
Shortly before the event start time a "Event Link" email will also be sent out to everyone. Use this link to access the event. Once the "Event Link" is clicked you will enter the "Lobby" ready for the Event to begin.
Alternatively click on the "Connect >" button (top right corner) on our website. Then login by entering the same email address as the ticket purchase and your password (first time users click create new password). Once logged in you will be able to see "Events" along the bottom of the page, click on events, a list of all your previous events will appear, a red coloured box will appear at the top of the screen showing your current live event, click on this, and you are all set for the event to start.
The Host will introduce themselves and explain the rules. The event will run in a structured format, 1-to-1 conversations and table rotations with the opposite gender. You will have a choice to select "Match" or leave blank for each participant. If you are unsure or the venue doesn't have good signal do not panic because it is not necessary to make match selections during the event instead they can be made after the event until midnight on the same day.
Once the Event finishes the Host will thank all participants for taking part. Participants will then have until midnight to make Match Selections. Match results will be published the following day and those who mutually match will be able to begin chatting.
In order to participate in matching & messaging, participants will need internet access, a smart phone, tablet, or PC/laptop.
