Refund & Cancellation Policy

 

At Fantastic Islam Events, our events are organised with the niyyah (intention) of facilitating halal and respectful social interactions in accordance with Islamic values. We kindly ask all participants to act with Adab (good manners, courtesy, and consideration for others).

This policy applies to all Muslim Marriage and social events organised by Fantastic Islam Events.

1. Event Cancellations by Fantastic Islam Events

If Fantastic Islam Events cancels an event due to low attendance, venue issues, or circumstances beyond our control:

  • You will receive a full refund, or

  • You may choose to transfer your booking to a future event.

Refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 7–10 business days.

2. Participant Cancellations (Adab & Responsibility)

When booking an event, participants reserve a place that could otherwise have been offered to another brother or sister. We therefore ask that cancellations are made as early as possible, in the spirit of fairness (adl) and consideration (ihsan).

  • 14 days or more before the event
    → Full refund (minus any non-refundable booking or payment processing fees, where applicable).

  • Less than 14 days before the event
    → No refund. However, you may request to transfer your ticket to another eligible participant, subject to approval.

These conditions are permitted under UK consumer law for leisure activities with a specific date and time.

3. No-Shows

Participants who do not attend without prior notice are not eligible for a refund or credit. A no-show affects event balance and denies another participant the opportunity to attend.

4. Event Experience & Outcomes (Qadr & Expectations)

Fantastic Islam Events provides a halal social introduction service, not guaranteed outcomes.

Refunds will not be issued due to:

  • Lack of matches

  • Personal attraction or compatibility

  • Individual expectations not being met

We remind participants that outcomes are part of qadr (divine decree). This does not affect your statutory rights if the service itself is not delivered as described.

5. Late Arrivals

To maintain fairness and avoid disruption:

  • Participants arriving later than event start time may be refused entry.

  • In such cases, no refund will be provided.

Punctuality is part of good adab and respect for others’ time.

6. Ticket Transfers

  • Tickets may be transferred to another participant who meets the event’s eligibility criteria (such as age range, gender, and marital status).

  • Transfer requests must be made at least 48 hours before the event.

  • Tickets must not be resold for profit, in keeping with Islamic principles of fairness and honesty.

7. Exceptional Circumstances (Compassion & Ease)

We understand that genuine difficulties arise. Refunds or credits may be considered at our discretion in exceptional circumstances, such as:

  • Medical emergencies

  • Bereavement

  • Severe travel disruption or extreme weather

Evidence may be requested. We aim to act with compassion while maintaining fairness to all attendees.

8. Conduct & Islamic Etiquette

By attending our events, participants agree to:

  • Maintain modesty, respectful speech, and behaviour

  • Treat all attendees with dignity and kindness

  • Follow event guidelines designed to uphold a halal environment

Fantastic Islam Events reserves the right to refuse entry or remove participants who breach these standards. No refund will be issued in such cases.

 

9. How to Request a Refund or Transfer

Include:

  • Full name

  • Event date

  • Booking reference number

  • New participant full name and email address (for transfer)

10. Acceptance of Policy

By purchasing a ticket with Fantastic Islam Events, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to this Refund & Cancellation Policy and agree to uphold the Islamic etiquette and values of our events.
